During the Iraq War, Miami twenty-something David Packouz gets pulled into the arms trade when he goes into business with his friend Efraim Diveroli. Miles Teller is David; Jonah Hill's Efraim spots a little-known government program that lets small companies bid on Pentagon contracts. What starts with minor deals and sudden cash escalates into a $300 million agreement to supply the Afghan military, sending them through a world of brokers, smuggling, and federal scrutiny.
