In San Antonio, a bright teenager is trying to figure out who he is and what comes next while growing up in a loud, close-knit family that never leaves him alone for long. Rafa leans on his mother and his five very different uncles, and each of them has a competing idea about school, love, responsibility, and what kind of man he should become. As he stumbles through adolescence, everyday problems at home and in the neighborhood turn into lessons, arguments, and disasters. Ignacio Diaz-Silverio and Christina Vidal lead a comedy built around Rafa’s push for independence and the constant pull of the family raising him.
