On the Tuscan coast in the summer of 1956, adolescent lifeguard Sandro spends his days at the beach and his vacation in close quarters with family, fantasies, and a stream of married women arriving for the weekend without their husbands. Alessandro Momo is Sandro, gawky and curious as he fixates on an older woman he can’t stop thinking about. Laura Antonelli's beautiful sister-in-law becomes one of the charged presences around him, as seaside routine gives way to flirtation, embarrassment, and overheard adult complications. The setting stays sunny and crowded, with family ties and sexual mischief constantly colliding on the sand.
