The Wind that Shakes the Barley

DramaWar127 min

In 1920s County Cork, young doctor Damien O'Donovan is about to leave for a London hospital when a killing by the Black and Tans pulls him into the fight against British rule. Cillian Murphy is Damien; his brother Teddy, played by Pádraic Delaney, is already committed to the IRA. What begins as a guerrilla campaign against occupation tightens around family, neighbors, and the routines of rural life, until the push for independence gives way to civil war and the brothers are forced toward opposite sides.
