In 1980 London, armed gunmen storm the Iranian Embassy and take the people inside hostage, turning a diplomatic building into the center of a six-day standoff. As police try to contain the crisis and negotiators search for a way to end it, the siege drags on under intense public and political pressure. Inside, the hostages face rising fear and uncertainty; outside, the SAS prepares for the chance that talks will fail. Mark Strong and Jamie Bell are part of a story that follows the operation from several sides, as each passing day narrows the options and pushes the situation toward a violent breaking point.
