The Gentleman Driver

Documentary83 min

Four successful businessmen step out of the office and into endurance racing, following the little-known world of the “gentleman driver” — amateurs with the means and discipline to compete at events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Ed Brown and Ricardo Gonzalez are among the featured drivers, alongside Michael Guasch and others balancing company leadership with the demands of the track. The film frames their racing lives against the skepticism gentleman drivers often face within motorsports, where money may buy entry but not respect. Pit-garage access, in-car footage, race broadcasts, and interviews with performance and sports-psychology experts fill in both the business and racing sides of the story.
