The Girl Next Door

ComedyCrimeDramaHorrorRomanceThriller91 min

In a quiet suburban neighborhood, a teenage boy becomes fixated on the troubling house next door after a girl is brought there and kept under the control of the woman running the household. What begins as uneasy suspicion turns into something far worse as he witnesses the girl's treatment grow more cruel and more public, drawing in other kids and exposing how quickly a street can look away. As the abuse escalates, he is pulled between fear, guilt, and the risk of trying to intervene. Told through his perspective, the film follows a coming-of-age shattered by captivity, intimidation, and the collapse of any adult protection.
