Far from Heaven
DramaRomance107 min
In 1950s suburban Connecticut, a housewife tries to hold together the polished life she is expected to lead as cracks spread through her marriage and reputation. Cathy Whitaker, played by Julianne Moore, lives in a world of cocktail parties, gossip, and strict social rules, where appearances matter as much as truth. When troubling secrets surface at home, she finds an unexpected connection with her gardener, Raymond, played by Dennis Haysbert. Their growing closeness draws scrutiny from neighbors and friends, turning private pain into public scandal. As her carefully ordered world tightens around her, Cathy is forced to face how little room her community allows for honesty, desire, and change.
