The Reaping
HorrorThriller99 min
Former missionary Katherine Winter has built a career debunking miracles after the deaths of her family shattered her faith. Hilary Swank is the skeptical investigator called to a small Louisiana town where a river turns red, frogs and locusts appear, and a string of events begins to resemble the biblical plagues. David Morrissey’s Doug Blackwell, a local schoolteacher, brings her into a community already gripped by fear and suspicion around a young girl at the center of it all. As Katherine searches for a rational cause in the swamps and church halls, the case forces her back toward beliefs she thought she had left behind.
