After a wounded serial killer uses voodoo to transfer his soul into a Good Guy doll, a cheap birthday gift brings terror into six-year-old Andy’s home and out into the city. Catherine Hicks is Andy’s mother, who slowly realizes the toy everyone dismisses is connected to a string of murders, while Brad Dourif supplies the doll’s voice. The setup turns a familiar children’s toy into the center of a supernatural slasher story, building from apartment-scale fear to a wider hunt for the killer trapped behind Chucky’s plastic smile.
