Christine
HorrorThriller110 min
Nerdy high schooler Arnie Cunningham buys a battered 1958 Plymouth Fury and becomes consumed with restoring it. Keith Gordon is Arnie, whose new confidence starts to look a lot like arrogance as Christine shifts from project car to fixation. Dennis (John Stockwell), his best friend, and Leigh (Alexandra Paul), the girl Arnie wants to impress, find themselves pushed aside by a machine that seems to have a will of its own. Directed by John Carpenter, the film keeps its supernatural menace tied to teenage status, jealousy, and the strange intimacy between a lonely kid and the car that remakes him.
