Nim's Island
ActionAdventureComedyDramaFamilyFantasy96 min
On a remote tropical island, Nim lives with her scientist father in a world built from tide pools, jungle paths, and the adventure stories she loves. When her father disappears at sea during a research trip, she is left to protect the island and find a way to get help before danger closes in. Desperate, Nim reaches out to the creator of her favorite fictional hero, only to find that the author, played by Jodie Foster, is a shut-in in San Francisco who can barely step outside. As storms gather and strangers approach the island, Nim and the anxious writer each have to face fears that have kept them trapped.
