After his wife’s death, journalist Benjamin Mee uproots his family and buys a sprawling new home with an unusual catch: it comes with a shuttered zoo still full of animals. Matt Damon is Benjamin, trying to manage a fresh start that thrills his young daughter and alienates his son while the property itself demands constant work. Scarlett Johansson’s Kelly Foster, the zoo’s head keeper, becomes his key partner as they work with the small staff to repair enclosures, care for the animals, and find a way to reopen before the money runs out.
