The Island
ActionAdventureComedyFamilyRomanceSci-FiThriller85 min
When his brother is killed, LAPD officer Mark returns to the island he grew up on and finds a paradise now controlled by gangs, hired muscle, and a corrupt tycoon. Back home for the funeral, he starts digging for answers and runs straight into the forces that have taken over the place. Michael Jai White leads the cast, with Gillian White also on hand, as Mark’s search pulls him through family grief, a past he left behind, and a widening fight that turns personal vengeance into a battle over the island itself.
