The Survivors
ComedyCrimeDrama103 min
After losing their jobs, Sonny Paluso and Donald Quinelle meet by chance and become unlikely friends when a diner holdup turns them into local heroes. Walter Matthau’s Sonny is older, weary, and already down on his luck; Robin Williams is Donald, a recently fired executive whose nerves and bad timing keep making things worse. Their brief brush with fame sours fast when the gunman they stopped turns out to be something more dangerous, leaving both men marked and scrambling to protect themselves. What starts as a shabby New York misadventure keeps tightening around two strangers who can barely manage their own lives, let alone survive a professional grudge.
