The Rewrite
ComedyRomance107 min
Keith Michaels was once an Oscar-winning Hollywood screenwriter; now a slump, a divorce, and mounting debt send him to an upstate New York college to teach screenwriting. Hugh Grant is Keith, arriving with little interest in the classroom and hoping the job will simply buy him time to fix his stalled career. Instead, he finds himself pulled into the orbit of his students and colleagues, including Holly (Marisa Tomei), a single mother taking classes while trying to start a new chapter. J.K. Simmons and Allison Janney appear around campus as Keith’s temporary detour turns into something more complicated.
