Invencible

Drama105 min

In 1970s Philadelphia, bartender Vince Papale gets an unlikely shot at the NFL when the Eagles’ new coach opens tryouts to the public. Mark Wahlberg is Vince, a 30-year-old local with no college football background and plenty of people ready to dismiss the whole idea. Greg Kinnear’s Dick Vermeil sees the open call as more than a publicity stunt, setting Papale on a path from neighborhood bars and city blocks to the demands of a pro roster. Based on a true story, the film stays close to Papale’s first chance to chase a dream tied to his hometown team.
