Dawn is a high-school abstinence advocate who tries to live by the rules she teaches, until a sexual encounter reveals that her body hides a violent defense no one warned her about. As rumors, pressure, and male aggression close in from several directions, she has to figure out what happened and what it means for her own safety. Each new encounter turns puberty, desire, and shame into a threat, and the line between victim and avenger starts to blur. Jess Weixler plays Dawn as the story pushes its body-horror premise into a darkly comic coming-of-age nightmare.
