Los Angeles social worker Chandler Jarrell has a knack for finding missing children, so when a priestess from Tibet tells him he’s the chosen man to rescue a kidnapped boy with mystical powers, he treats the whole thing as a bad joke. Eddie Murphy is Chandler, a fast-talking skeptic pulled from city streets into demons, prophecies, and a hunt for the Golden Child. Charlotte Lewis’s Kee Nang pushes him toward the mission, while Charles Dance is the occult force behind the abduction, Sardo Numspa. The search pulls Chandler from missing-person cases into a collision of mysticism, evil, and a child tied to humankind’s fate.
