Stone
ActionAdventureDramaMysteryThriller105 min
Robert De Niro is Jack Mabry, a parole officer counting down the last weeks before retirement when he’s assigned the case of Gerald “Stone” Creeson (Edward Norton), a convicted arsonist seeking early release. Jack has little patience for Stone’s coarse appeals and even less sympathy for his version of reform. When Stone realizes he won’t win over the officer face to face, he draws his wife Lucetta into the equation, turning a routine review into a knot of seduction, pressure, and mistrust. What begins in prison hearings spills into Jack’s marriage and private life, where motives grow harder to read.
