Jake Green is a gambler and grifter whose success at the table has made him unwelcome in most casinos and dangerously visible to the men who profit from losing players. After a private game puts him in the crosshairs of crime boss Macha, Jason Statham’s Jake finds himself hunted and then pulled into an uneasy arrangement with two enigmatic loan sharks, including one embodied by André Benjamin. Guy Ritchie threads the setup through cash, threats, and underworld power plays, while the film’s psychological turns keep pressing Jake to question whether the game in front of him is the only one being played.
