The Princess and the Frog
ActionAdventureAnimationComedyFamilyFantasyMusicalRomance98 min
In 1920s New Orleans, hardworking waitress Tiana dreams of opening her own restaurant when a kiss meant to break a spell turns her into a frog instead. Anika Noni Rose is Tiana, suddenly swept into the bayous with the carefree Prince Naveen and a race to become human again. Along the way, the story folds in brass-band energy, Louisiana folklore, and the shadow of Keith David’s Dr. Facilier, a smooth-talking voodoo magician with plans of his own. The fairy-tale setup stays grounded in Tiana’s ambition, even as magic pulls her far from the life she’s been building.
