Begin Again

ComedyDramaRomance104 min

After her songwriter boyfriend leaves her behind in New York, Gretta winds up at an East Village performance that catches the ear of a struggling record executive. Keira Knightley is Gretta, a singer-songwriter trying to regroup after Dave's career suddenly opens up; Mark Ruffalo's Dan sees something in her music that the industry around him has missed. Their answer is an album recorded across the city rather than inside a studio, turning bars, rooftops, sidewalks, and back seats into makeshift sessions while both of them sort through stalled careers, bruised relationships, and the noise of the music business.
