Last Christmas
ComedyDramaFantasyRomance103 min
Kate is a young Londoner with a streak of bad decisions, working as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop while her personal life keeps coming apart. Emilia Clarke is Kate, drifting through the holiday season in jangling green tights and one awkward mistake after another, until Henry Golding’s Tom begins crossing her path around the city. As their connection grows, the story threads romance and fantasy through a wintry London backdrop, with family strain and Kate’s unsettled life never far from view. George Michael songs run through it, including the holiday hit that gives the film its title.
