Only Lovers Left Alive
AnimeComedyDramaFantasyHorrorRomance123 min
Adam, a reclusive musician and centuries-old vampire living in Detroit, sinks deeper into despair until his longtime lover arrives from Tangier. Tom Hiddleston is Adam, surrounded by guitars, old books, and carefully sourced blood; Tilda Swinton’s Eve meets his gloom with curiosity, affection, and the calm of someone who has watched whole eras pass. Their nocturnal reunion, built on art, literature, and a shared life stretched across centuries, is shaken when Eve’s younger sister Ava (Mia Wasikowska) turns up uninvited. Written and directed by Jim Jarmusch, the film moves through decaying city streets, night drives, and candlelit rooms.
