The Eternal Memory
Documentary88 min
Chilean journalist Augusto Góngora and actress Paulina Urrutia have been together for 25 years; now, eight years after his Alzheimer’s diagnosis, their life together is shaped by memory loss and the fear that one day he may no longer recognize her. Augusto remains a public figure with a long personal and political history, while Paulina stays beside him as partner, caretaker, and witness to what the illness changes day by day. In Spanish, the film keeps its focus on the couple’s shared routines, conversations, and the bond they are struggling to preserve.
