In Manhattan’s Diamond District, jeweler Howard Ratner is juggling debts, bets, and a rare Ethiopian opal he sees as his way out. Instead of keeping the stone close, he lends it to NBA star Kevin Garnett, convinced the gem will bring luck and that one big score will solve everything at once. As creditors close in and the opal slips out of his control, Howard keeps doubling down, moving from showroom deals to family arguments to riskier gambles. Adam Sandler plays Howard as a man who cannot stop chasing the next chance, even as every promise he makes leaves him with less room to maneuver.
