After his escape from captivity, Jesse Pinkman is on the run in Albuquerque, trying to stay ahead of police attention and the wreckage he’s left behind. Aaron Paul returns to Jesse with the strain of a man scrambling for cash, cover, and some kind of future while the past keeps closing in. Written and directed by Vince Gilligan, the film follows the aftermath of Breaking Bad through Jesse’s point of view, with figures from his orbit resurfacing, including Mike (Jonathan Banks) and Todd (Jesse Plemons), as he tries to disappear without ever really being free of what happened.
