Unbanned: The Legend of AJ1
Documentary91 min
The Air Jordan 1 begins as an unlikely basketball shoe and turns into a flashpoint for NBA rules, sneaker culture, and a much wider shift in style and status. Through interviews with Michael Jordan, Spike Lee, and Dapper Dan, the film follows the AJ1 from its early launch to the controversy that put it at the center of the league’s rulebook. Anthony Anderson and Lena Waithe are among the voices connecting the shoe to sports, music, fashion, and business, tracing how one pair of sneakers moved far beyond the court.
