Speed Racer
ActionAdventureAnimationComedyDramaFamilySci-Fi135 min
Speed Racer is a gifted young driver pushing the family-built Mach 5 on a wildly stylized racing circuit where corporate money fixes outcomes and wrecks lives. Emile Hirsch is Speed, competing in the shadow of his late brother Rex while trying to stay loyal to Pops (John Goodman) and the garage that built him. After he turns down a powerful sponsor, Speed finds himself up against moguls who control the sport from behind the scenes, forcing an uneasy alliance with the masked Racer X (Matthew Fox) and the police. Christina Ricci's Trixie stays close as the races turn into neon-saturated, gravity-defying spectacles.
