Staying Vertical

The story

Damien Bonnard is Leo, a screenwriter roaming the south of France in search of wolves and inspiration for his next film when he meets shepherdess Marie (India Hair). Their brief connection leads to a baby, and when Marie leaves soon after the birth, Leo finds himself raising an infant on his own despite a life built around drift, work, and sudden disappearances. Moving through farms, mountain roads, and improvised households, the film follows his uneven attempt to care for his child while still chasing the next idea.
