The Running Man
ActionAdventureCrimeSci-FiThriller101 min
In a totalitarian 2017 America, a state-run TV spectacle turns condemned prisoners into prime-time prey. Arnold Schwarzenegger is Ben Richards, a police officer framed for a massacre and pushed onto The Running Man, where “runners” try to survive a televised hunt by themed stalkers for a chance at freedom. Richard Dawson’s Damon Killian fronts the show with a polished smile, selling public execution as mass entertainment while the network shapes the story for its audience. Around Richards, the film mixes prison-state politics, media manipulation, and futuristic arena combat inside a deadly game-show format.
