Ip Man 3
ActionAdventureCrimeDrama105 min
In 1950s Hong Kong, a crooked property developer and his gang begin muscling into the city, forcing Wing Chun master Ip Man to step in. Donnie Yen is Ip, a disciplined teacher whose calm home life comes under pressure as the violence reaches his family and school. Mike Tyson’s developer fronts the intimidation campaign, while Zhang Jin’s Cheung Tin-chi complicates matters as a fellow Wing Chun fighter with his own standing to defend. Alongside the street clashes and schoolyard confrontations, the film keeps returning to Ip Man’s controlled, close-range style and the codes of respect behind it.
