The End of the Tour

Drama106 min

In 1996, Rolling Stone reporter David Lipsky joins novelist David Foster Wallace for a five-day interview just after Infinite Jest turns Wallace into a literary celebrity. Jesse Eisenberg's Lipsky arrives looking for a profile and finds long drives, cheap meals, motel rooms, and a subject who is funny, guarded, and sharply aware of how he comes across. Jason Segel is Wallace, bandana and all, as the conversations move from fame and envy to loneliness and the uneasy intimacy that develops when an interview starts to feel less like work.
