When a man walks onto a school baseball field carrying a shotgun, Sheriff David Dutton starts to realize something is badly wrong in Ogden Marsh, a small Iowa town where neighbors are suddenly becoming violent. Timothy Olyphant is the sheriff at the center of the outbreak, while Radha Mitchell’s Judy, his pregnant wife and the town doctor, sees the same collapse from another angle. As an unknown toxin spreads through the community, the military seals off the town and treats everyone inside as a threat. Dutton, Judy, and a small group of survivors are left to navigate deserted streets, armed townspeople, and a quarantine closing in around them.
