How Do You Know

ComedyDramaRomance121 min

After she’s cut from the USA softball team, Reese Witherspoon is Lisa, an athlete suddenly unsure what comes next. She’s involved with Owen Wilson’s Matty, a pro baseball player whose confidence makes commitment look easy, when she meets George (Paul Rudd), a buttoned-up executive whose life is coming apart under an SEC stock-fraud case. Caught between a familiar relationship and an unexpected one, Lisa has to sort through career disappointment, mixed signals, and the uneasy question of what adulthood is supposed to look like. James L. Brooks keeps the focus on people trying to talk their way through uncertainty.
