The Ugly Truth
ComedyRomance96 min
Morning show producer Abby wants a stable relationship, not crude theories about what men want. Katherine Heigl is Abby, whose carefully ordered life gets upended when her station pairs her with Mike, a blunt correspondent known for on-air takes about sex and dating. Gerard Butler’s Mike offers to coach her through a promising new romance by putting his rules into practice, turning her love life into a series of public dares, private humiliations, and escalating arguments. The setup keeps one foot in the TV workplace and the other in a battle-of-the-sexes sparring match.
