Undercover cops Schmidt and Jenko head to a local college to trace the supplier of a new drug, but campus life starts pulling them in opposite directions. Jonah Hill’s Schmidt falls in with an artsy crowd, while Channing Tatum’s Jenko finds an easy fit on the football team, and their already shaky partnership begins to fray. As they try to keep their cover and work the case, the sequel shifts the high-school setup of the first film into frat parties, dorm rooms, and the awkward question of whether these two can function as adults.
