Officer Daniel Carter is on a routine patrol when he finds a blood-soaked man staggering down an empty road and brings him to a nearly abandoned rural hospital. Aaron Poole is Carter, a cop who quickly realizes the place is cut off from the outside by hooded figures, while patients and night-shift staff begin changing into violent, inhuman forms. With survivors that include a doctor portrayed by Kenneth Welsh, Carter is forced deeper into the hospital’s lower levels, where the crisis starts to look less like a medical emergency than something occult, monstrous, and far beyond anyone inside.
