Possessor
HorrorMysterySci-FiThriller108 min
Corporate assassin Tasya Vos carries out hits by using brain-implant technology to take over other people’s bodies. Andrea Riseborough is Vos, an elite operative whose latest high-profile assignment goes wrong when she becomes trapped inside the mind of her unwilling host, with Christopher Abbott as the man whose identity begins to push back. Brandon Cronenberg builds the film around that split between controller and controlled, mixing corporate intrigue with hallucination, brutal violence, and body horror. Jennifer Jason Leigh and Sean Bean appear on the edges of Vos’s increasingly unstable professional life.
