Our Friend
DramaRomance124 min
When Matt learns that his wife, Nicole, is terminally ill, the strain of caregiving and raising their two young daughters starts to overwhelm the family. Casey Affleck is Matt, a journalist trying to keep the household together, while Dakota Johnson brings warmth and restlessness to Nicole as her diagnosis reshapes their lives. Then their best friend Dane (Jason Segel) moves in, putting his own plans on hold to help with school runs, meals, and the day-to-day work no one can manage alone. Based on a true story, the film stays close to the routines, tensions, and acts of support that build around one family in crisis.
