Little Women

DramaRomance135 min

In the years after the Civil War, the March sisters move from girlhood into adulthood as love, money, ambition, and family duty pull them in different directions. Saoirse Ronan is Jo, the headstrong writer at the center of the family, while Timothée Chalamet’s Laurie becomes a close presence in the sisters’ lives. Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, and Eliza Scanlen round out Meg, Amy, and Beth, with Laura Dern as Marmee and Meryl Streep as the formidable Aunt March. Greta Gerwig’s version moves between the sisters’ younger years at home and Jo’s life in New York, keeping the focus on the changing bonds between them.
