Blood Feast
ComedyDramaHorror67 min
Behind a successful catering business in suburban Miami, Egyptian immigrant Fuad Ramses is collecting body parts from murdered women for a ritual meant to revive the goddess Ishtar. Mal Arnold’s Ramses moves through debutante parties and quiet neighborhoods with eerie calm, while Detective Pete Thornton (William Kerwin) struggles to connect the killings. Released in 1963, Blood Feast is one of the early splatter films, pairing ordinary domestic settings with graphic dismemberment, Egyptian-myth ritual, and a killer whose work in the kitchen is tied directly to the murders.
