ComedyDrama92 min
In a nearly all-white Iowa town, Danny Hoch is Flip, a teenager who models himself on hip-hop videos, talks in borrowed slang, and dreams of running with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. He spends his days rapping into the mirror, selling flour as cocaine, and clowning around with friends James (Dash Mihok) and Trevor (Mark Webber), while the problems at home keep piling up: his father is out of work, his mother relies on food stamps, and his girlfriend is pregnant. A trip to Chicago to score drugs pushes Flip’s fantasy of keeping it real into contact with consequences he’s barely noticed.
