Monty Python's Life of Brian

Comedy94 min

Brian Cohen (Graham Chapman) is an ordinary young man in Roman-occupied Judea who keeps getting swept into history by mistake, until a string of accidents leaves him mistaken for the Messiah. As Brian tries to shake off worshipful crowds and the fury of his mother, Monty Python turns biblical epics and political factions into targets, from the Sermon on the Mount to squabbling separatists and John Cleese’s Pontius Pilate. Chapman leads a parade of Python regulars, with Michael Palin, Eric Idle, and Terry Gilliam popping up across a world of slogans, sermons, and escalating absurdity.
