Paul
ActionAdventureComedySci-Fi104 min
Two British sci-fi obsessives touring America’s UFO landmarks pick up the last passenger they expected: Paul, a blunt, chain-smoking alien who has just escaped Area 51. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are the road-tripping friends suddenly tasked with getting him across the Southwest before federal agents close in. Seth Rogen gives Paul his fast-talking voice, and the chase picks up extra chaos from faces like Jason Bateman and Kristen Wiig. Built as a desert road movie with alien lore, government secrecy, and affectionate riffs on Spielberg-era sci-fi, it keeps its focus on the odd friendship forming inside that RV.
