Clara is a widowed former music critic and cancer survivor who refuses to leave her apartment, the last occupied unit in a beautiful older Brazilian building marked for demolition. Sônia Braga is Clara, sharp-eyed and unshakable as developers circle with buyout offers and mounting pressure. Among them is Diego (Humberto Carrão), the polished heir to the real-estate firm trying to clear the property for a luxury high-rise. What starts as a standoff over one home widens into a portrait of class, memory, and the fight over who gets to remain in a changing city.
