After her husband, a former member of an insular religious sect, dies in a mysterious accident, Maren Jensen is Martha, left alone on a farm beside the group’s church and increasingly afraid she may be next. When friends, including Susan Buckner and Sharon Stone, come to stay, a string of violent incidents turns the house into the center of suspicion. Ernest Borgnine’s Isaiah stands at the head of the neighboring sect as Wes Craven threads together rural isolation, murder, and hints of the supernatural.
