Knife in the Head

After going to the youth center where his estranged wife works, Hoffmann (Bruno Ganz) is caught in a police raid on suspected radicals and shot in the head. He wakes in a hospital partially paralyzed, barely able to speak, and unable to remember the night that left him there. Angela Winkler is the wife he had been searching for when everything went wrong. As police accuse Hoffmann of stabbing an officer and left-wing activists claim him as a victim of state violence, he is pulled into a political fight he can hardly follow while trying to piece together the missing hours and the life that has been shattered around him.
