After imperial soldiers kill two rebels, their sons are rescued by six pugilists who separate the boys, train them in different schools of martial arts, and plan a reckoning when they’re grown. Guo Jing is sent to study with the Seven Freaks of Jiangnan, while Yang Kang is raised as the foster son of a Jurchen prince, putting the pair on sharply different paths. Sheng Fu leads the film, with Niu Tien among the central figures as the story moves through rival masters, divided loyalties, and hidden agendas.
